Garth was found wandering around an elementary school, unsure of where to go but grateful for a safe place to land. At just over a year old, he’s still figuring out the world, and he approaches it with a shy, quiet sweetness that makes you want to wrap him in kindness. Garth tends to keep to himself and prefers calm companionship over treats. He’s a people-oriented boy who leans into gentle affection once he feels safe. We’re working on building up his confidence, especially on walks, where he can sometimes shut down when he feels overwhelmed. Even so, he’s trying his best and is slowly improving his leash manners...he may pull a bit, but he’s learning. He hasn’t been with us long, but so far he doesn’t seem bothered by other dogs and takes everything in with a soft, observant nature. What Garth needs most is a patient, loving family who can give him the TLC he’s been missing and help him bloom at his own pace. Garth is microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and will be neutered shortly. He’s ready for a home where gentle hearts and quiet moments are celebrated.
