PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally. Meet Lucy Lou! Lucy Lou is approximately 7 years old, 7 lb currently, and she is a small mixed breed. In her foster home, she is working hard on her house training, crate-training, and leash walking. She could join households with teenagers, cats, and other small dogs. Lucy has some benign tumors in her ears that Brown Dog needs to assess with our vet team. She has some hearing loss and not the best eyesight but otherwise she's a sweet senior girl! Her foster says,“Lucy Lou came to us from a breeder and is about 7 years old. She hadn’t experienced life as a beloved pet before, but she’s been making the sweetest progress in foster care. She’s learning all about the good things—sunshine, soft beds, and little walks—and she absolutely loves being close to her people (especially if that means being held like a baby for snuggles!). She’s still building her confidence and learning routines like potty training, so she’ll do best with a patient, understanding adopter who can continue to guide her. Lucy Lou can be a bit sensitive to loud noises, but with reassurance, she settles in nicely. She’s already come so far and is truly a gentle, loving girl who’s ready to keep blossoming in a forever home.” She is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on May 11th.
