About Jackie

Jackie started life as Candied Yam before landing in the Philadelphia shelter with a mysterious and severe facial injury—her lower jaw had been degloved. She faced a handful of tough surgeries and ended up with a permanent pucker, which only adds to her oddball charm. Months in a cone and muzzle didn’t phase her; she powered through and kept her sweet, goofy spirit. Jackie is now thriving in her foster home and, at around six years old and 55 pounds, she’s settled right into the role of world-class snuggler. She’s making big progress walking on leash, is crate trained, fully house trained, spayed, microchipped, and her vaccinations are up to date. Jackie’s a riot when she gets going—picture wild yard zoomies, then sprawling out on the sofa to soak up every cuddle. Currently the only dog in her foster home, she’ll need a meet-and-greet if you have another dog. She gets along with dogs, cats, and children, making her a solid fit for families. After everything she’s been through, Jackie deserves a soft landing and she’ll give you her whole heart in return. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
