Meet little Carmie! At just 6 pounds, this 3-year-old Chihuahua may be tiny, but he has plenty of personality packed into his pint-sized frame. This adorable boy is looking for a patient, understanding home where he can take his time getting comfortable and building trust with his people. Carmie can be nervous around new people at first and may try to protect the things that make him feel safe, so he'll do best with adopters who understand that small dogs sometimes need a little extra reassurance and structure. Once he feels secure, his sweet and curious side starts to shine through. While Carmie hasn't had much experience with dogs his size, he did meet some much larger dogs and, although understandably intimidated, he seemed interested in making friends from a safe distance. With slow introductions, he may enjoy a calm canine companion. If you're looking for a tiny sidekick with a big heart and are willing to give him the patience and kindness he deserves, Carmie could be your perfect match! If you are interested in meeting Carmie, the shelter is open Monday through Saturday, 11 am - 6 pm, Sunday 11 am-4 pm (Summer Hours).
