Thurston
AvailableThurston is an adult orange and white male Domestic Short Hair with a large frame, currently living in Inver Grove Heights, MN. He is neutered and has his vaccinations up to date. Thurston is FIV positive, so he will need a bit of extra care, but with regular wellness checks and a stable indoor environment, he can enjoy a happy, healthy life.
About Thurston
Thurston is searching for a patient, understanding person who won't mind a few quirks. After showing up at his foster's doorstep hungry and dirty, he took to indoor life with surprising trust. Early days saw him battling fleas, a mouth full of painful dental issues, and a tough case of pillow foot. He’s no stranger to hard times. Along the way, he tested positive for FIV, a lifelong condition that means he’s more susceptible to infection but can otherwise live a full, normal life with routine care. While Thurston has lived with other cats, he’s at his happiest as a solo pet or possibly with one gentle companion. He didn’t mesh well with all the household cats, but he loved having that one special buddy. He’s friendly and affectionate most of the time—happy to stretch out on the couch and soak up attention—but he values his alone time, too. Give him a quiet room to retreat to and he’ll reward you by being good company when he’s in the mood. Food obsession is real; if he smells a meal or spots an unsecured container, he’s not above helping himself (he once climbed right in the bin for a free-for-all). Expect a few kitchen antics until he figures out the routine. Thurston enjoys window-gazing, crinkly tunnels, catnip toys, and the occasional burst of zoomies. His demeanor sometimes hints at the tough road he’s traveled, but his funny, stubborn spirit wins everyone over. Give Thurston the safe, love-filled home he’s been waiting for. Your new best friend is just one click away.
