About Megaphone

Meet Megaphone! She’s bonded with her sibling Davy Jones Female | 2 months | Will be spayed before going home | Current on vaccines for her age | dewormed | microchipped | Will be combo tested for FeLV/FIV prior to adoption Megaphone got her name because your girl loves to yap and has no problem talking to anyone and everyone. Her personality truly is bigger than seems possible for her little body. Outside of her big personality both her and her brother Davy Jones have literal peg legs. Megaphone is missing all of the toe beans on one of her back legs and it is slightly shorter than the others. Mobility wise this doesn’t seem to slow her down much and since she has a paw pad we don’t anticipate needing to amputate it. Her and her brother Davy Jones are bonded and we’d ideally like to find a home for them together. INTAKE HISTORY: Both Davy and Megaphone came in from a rural shelter after they were found as sickly neonates still needing to be bottle fed. Their foster mom has nursed them back to health and Davy will be receiving an enucleation for his ruptured eye once he’s big enough. As always adoptions in pairs are prioritized. For this pair specifically we will not be reviewing applications that are not willing to adopt both siblings. The adoption fee for a single kitten is $150 while a pair is $250. ____ Interested in Adopting? Complete our Adoption Application on our Profile Page (click the “Visit Our Profile Page” button below). We do not evaluate inquiries. Please read below before applying: We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. Our priority is finding the best match for each cat or kitten. Applicants interested in adopting a pair of kittens are typically given higher priority. Due to concerns about Single Kitten Syndrome (SKS), young kittens are not eligible for solo adoption unless there is already a young kitty of similar energy in the home. What is Single Kitten Syndrome? Single Kitten Syndrome occurs when young kittens are adopted alone. Without a feline playmate, they may develop behavioral issues such as: • Aggression or anxiety • Inappropriate chewing or scratching • Litter box avoidance • Difficulty adjusting to new pets or children later in life While not all single kittens experience these challenges, it’s a common reason cats are rehomed later. The best way to prevent SKS is to adopt kittens in pairs or ensure there’s already a playful, compatible cat in the home.
