About Voldy

Meet Voldy, also known as Lady Voldemort! Female | 2.5 months | Will be spayed before going home | Current on vaccines for her age | dewormed | microchipped | Will be combo tested for FeLV/FIV prior to adoption Voldy is a fierce little baby that is incredibly lucky to be alive and making sure to make the most of each day she has. She loves to play with other kitten pals and would do great adopted with another pal her age (she’s currently housed with our cow litter)! Her favorite hobbies are sprinting across the house showing her foster parents how fast she is as well as doing the “thriller cat” arch back into every room. Her facial deformities are from a puncture wound to the top of her nose prior to intake and at this time she’s still in the recovery process. Long term we anticipate her to likely primarily breathe through her mouth due to the several damage to her nose but can discuss this further with potential adopters while going over her full medical history. INTAKE HISTORY: Voldy was found under a car in the condition of her last photo by a Good Samaritan couple. They took her to a local vet that reached out to one of the founders they know in IKC. Upon intake she was taken directly into emergency surgery to clean up the puncture to the top of her nose. It had necrosed tissue as well as several fractures to her head and around her eye. She also had multiple other puncture wounds on her body behind her ear and on her abdomen. Like we said above, she’s incredibly lucky to be alive. There are more photos of her medical progress and treatment on Instagram @deejandthecats. She has since recovered incredibly and we are all excited to continue seeing how she progresses. <3 As always adoptions in pairs are prioritized. For this pair specifically we will not be reviewing applications that are not willing to adopt both siblings. The adoption fee for a single kitten is $150 while a pair is $250. ____ Interested in Adopting? Complete our Adoption Application on our Profile Page (click the “Visit Our Profile Page” button below). We do not evaluate inquiries. Please read below before applying: We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. Our priority is finding the best match for each cat or kitten. Applicants interested in adopting a pair of kittens are typically given higher priority. Due to concerns about Single Kitten Syndrome (SKS), young kittens are not eligible for solo adoption unless there is already a young kitty of similar energy in the home. What is Single Kitten Syndrome? Single Kitten Syndrome occurs when young kittens are adopted alone. Without a feline playmate, they may develop behavioral issues such as: • Aggression or anxiety • Inappropriate chewing or scratching • Litter box avoidance • Difficulty adjusting to new pets or children later in life While not all single kittens experience these challenges, it’s a common reason cats are rehomed later. The best way to prevent SKS is to adopt kittens in pairs or ensure there’s already a playful, compatible cat in the home.
