When you hear the name Rocky Balboa your minds goes to that famous Stallone movie about the underdog who made it to the top with sheer perseverance. The fights that he fought and the daily practice at getting up at the crack of dawn and running those famous steps in Philadelphia. Our puppies that come our way and who never asked to be born, at each and every one a 'fighter'. Coming from most of the time no good place where they were born, these puppies beat all the odds that they would not make it see 6 weeks of puppyhood, and certainly they don't make it to be loving seniors very often. But our Chocolate Lab mix boy is called Rocky Balboa and he is one of the lucky ones. A fighter with such a sweetness and desire to just lay his head on your shoulder and be told how much he is loved by you. This playful, charming puppy was born to a litter of 10 pups on Feb. 22nd. He is currently 19 pounds as he approaches 12 weeks of age. He is going to be a good size loverboy who is already a wonderful soul with a good nature that mixes playful hours and also naptimes that extend throughout the day as he grows in to his big feet. Rocky is destined to be a 65+ pound boy that already has a good recall and stays nearby as he runs circles in the yard with his puppy foster playmate, Elvis. Rocky is a heart throb that doesn;t take advantage of his good looks. But he does use them at times in a very sweet and natural way. Correction for him is taken totally to heart and he will stop doing his bad deed the moment he is told a resounding NO. We love this little Rocky Balboa and everything he stands for in life. The puppy who promises to be your constant shadow, your loving snuggler any chance he can get and the boy who can sleep through the night right beside you or on his dog bed on the floor.
