Willa
AvailableWilla is a medium-sized, adult female who likely has a boxer and Boston terrier mix background. She is house trained, spayed, and currently living in Alexander, AR. Willa is vaccinated and, despite some earlier health challenges, is doing well thanks to her ongoing care. She is known for her affectionate and playful personality, and her experience in a structured training program is a great foundation for her next chapter.
About Willa
Willa and her sister Marge are looking for a family willing to keep them together, but they could be adopted separately for the right homes. Both were left behind by their previous owners and are now working through heartworm treatment, so they won’t be ready to go home until July. Willa is around two years old, medium-sized, and likely a boxer/boston terrier mix. She weighs about 45 lbs, has a playful streak, and matches her sister for affection. Willa loves other dogs and is quite submissive. Both dogs are currently enrolled in the Arkansas Paws in Prison Program, getting a solid foundation in obedience, house training, leash walking, and even some tricks. They’re sweet-natured, crave human attention, and adjust well to canine company. Though it’s ideal if they could find a home as a pair, there’s flexibility for strong single-dog adopters. Willa is in Alexander, AR, but can also be transported to approved adoptions in PA, NY, or CT—pick-up in those states is required on Saturdays. If you want a playful, loving dog who’s had good socialization and basic training, Willa might be your perfect match. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
