Meet Sammy 🖤 Ragdoll Sammy is a stunning 6-year-old purebred lynx point Ragdoll with piercing blue eyes, a luxurious coat, and a personality that is very much his own. Sammy is a BIG boy with an even bigger presence. He enjoys affection and companionship — until he decides he’s had enough. Because of this, Sammy needs an adopter who truly understands and respects feline body language and boundaries. When he wants love, he is incredibly affectionate, sweet, and engaging. But when he needs personal space, it’s important that his wishes are respected without pressure. One of Sammy’s more unusual quirks? Loud human sneezes personally offend him for reasons only Sammy understands. He is confident, opinionated, and definitely sees himself as the king of the castle. Because of his alpha personality, Sammy may not do well with other dominant pets and would likely thrive best in a calm, experienced home that understands cats like him. Transitions and changes can be stressful for Sammy, so he will absolutely need time to decompress and adjust at his own pace. His future family must be patient and willing to let trust develop naturally, on Sammy’s terms. Pushing him too quickly will not set him up for success. We know the right home is out there for this gorgeous boy, and because we want a true success story for Sammy, we will be screening potential adopters very carefully to ensure the best possible match. Sammy is not for everyone — but for the right person, he could be an incredibly rewarding companion. Filling out an application does not guarantee adoption of a particular cat or kitten. We receive many applications for each listed cat, and we review them carefully to ensure a good fit. Of approvable applications, we give precedence to the earliest that we receive. All of our cats and kittens are rescued, or surrendered to us by their previous owners, and now seek loving, permanent homes. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, given age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV and FeLV, as well as given flea, heartworm, and ear mite prevention. We do not DNA or allergy test our cats. We cannot guarantee the breed mix, as we are a rescue, not breeders. Please note that we are a privately run rescue. We are not government funded and get very few donations. The care that we provide, the animals that we rescue, all costs are covered out of pocket, so our adoption fees are higher than what you may find at a funded or government shelter.
