About Rocky

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Rocky (NY), the tiny Terrier mix with the heart of a lion and the spirit of a comeback champion. At 11 years young and just 10–11 pounds, this sweet boy has already lived through more than most dogs ever should. He was found in a cardboard box at an upstate NY shelter with a ruptured eye and a badly infected abdominal wound — a heartbreaking start that would have crushed a lesser soul. But Rocky isn’t just any dog. He healed, he rallied, and he never stopped believing that good things were coming. Today, Rocky is fully healed, feeling fantastic, and ready to start the bright new life he always deserved. He’s friendly with people, kids, dogs, and even cats. He’s playful, social, easygoing, and peepad trained. He’s the kind of dog who fits into a home like he’s always belonged there, bringing warmth, sweetness, and a little bit of joyful Terrier spunk wherever he goes. Rocky does have diabetes, which is easily treated with insulin injections. He handles his routine like a champ and feels great with proper care. All he needs is someone willing to give him the consistency and love he’s been missing. Rocky dreams of a soft bed, a gentle hand, and a family who sees him not as the dog someone threw away, but as the dog who fought his way back to happiness. If you’re looking for a grateful, loving, resilient little companion who will adore you forever, Rocky is ready to meet you.
