About Buffy
Buffy is a 13-year-old Shih Tzu with teddy bear charm and the soul of a professional napper. She joined the rescue after her previous owner entered hospice care, and she's handled the transition with steady sweetness. Buffy’s favorite spot is tucked up next to her people—she’s happiest as a lap dog and bedtime companion. She’s calm, affectionate, and reliably brings a dose of laughter to the house with her selective hearing and perpetual snack radar. Buffy mixes well with other dogs, cats, and young children, making her a flexible fit for most families. She’s fully housetrained when kept on a 6-hour outdoor schedule and reliably sleeps through the night. Due to her senior status, she has some unique needs: allergies to grass, lamb, and coconut (managed well with medication—all provided for her first year), low vision, and limited depth perception. She’s also hard of hearing, but never seems to miss the sound of a snack bag. Grooming around her face isn’t her favorite, but otherwise, she sits like a spa veteran. An adopter for Buffy should be mindful of her tendency to take accidental tumbles off furniture and understand that senior dogs need patience and soft places to sleep. She’ll repay it all with snuggles, loyalty, and gentle humor. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
