Cats: May be inclined to chase/want to play with the feline friends of the world, so would do best with a super dog savvy cat. Kids: Yes! You know me, you love me… okay maybe not yet, but I’ve been called a “baby Folsom,” so I think I’m off to a pretty good start. Hello, my name is Logan. I’m a six-month-old Labrador mix and I am a lovable, energetic young pup that will absolutely bring love, joy, and happiness into your life. I love going on walks, chasing down my soccer ball or jolly ball, and playing fetch with handballs. If you throw one for me, I’ll happily bring it right back to your hands. I enjoy interacting with other dogs as long as they enjoy my high-energy play style. My favorite kind of people are anyone willing to run, jump, roll around in the grass, and investigate everything around us with me. I would make the perfect companion for walks at the park, beach days, or any adventure where we can spend time together. After a nice long play session, I love relaxing on my bed with a good chew toy or bone and taking a long nap. I also really love cuddles, belly rubs, and resting my head on your leg. One of my favorite positions is definitely belly-rub position because it shows just how affectionate I really am. I’m also a pretty smart pup. I’ve been participating in the Paws on the Block program for the past few months and have had training opportunities that most dogs my age don’t get the chance to experience. Paws on the Block is a partnership between Foothill Dog Rescue and Folsom State Prison that provides dogs like me with daily structure, socialization, enrichment, and training to help us become the very best versions of ourselves while we wait for our forever homes. My trainers say, “If you are on the hunt for your next best friend then look no more, I have arrived!” I am very eager to learn and practice my commands daily, including stand, bed, down, kennel in/out, heel, and touch (recall). If you verbally give me these commands, I’ll happily show you how much I love responding. I would benefit from continued opportunities to train in a structured setting so I can continue building on everything I’ve already learned. I get very excited for food and treats, and while I tend to push and pull a little bit sometimes, I’m learning more every single day. I’m an early riser at times and may let you know when I’m awake and ready to start the day. Fun fact about me: I do not enjoy baths in the slightest… but oddly enough, I actually love water. Another thing my trainers say about me is that I have “an amazing character and would make a great addition to any family or individual looking to have an amazingly handsome wing-pup.” If you are looking for your next best friend, amazingly handsome wing-pup, cuddle buddy, and adventure companion all wrapped into one, then look no further, I have arrived.
