About Jasper
Jasper is a happy, gangly Lab mix with a big heart and an endless love for tennis balls. He lives for adventure, whether that's a spirited round of fetch, splashing in a creek, or a leisurely walk. Affectionate and eager to please, Jasper has a knack for picking up new commands—he already has sit, stay, shake, and lay down under his belt. Food motivation and his attentive streak make him straightforward to train. He's leash-savvy, fully house trained, and enjoys group play sessions with other dogs at the shelter. Since arriving, Jasper has gained solid confidence and now shines as a friendly, social companion. Structure and consistency help Jasper thrive. He's sensitive and can sometimes become protective of prized possessions, so he’ll do best in an adult-only home with someone patient and committed to ongoing training. Give him guidance and he transforms into a deeply loyal, devoted friend. If your household has a compatible dog, Jasper might make a great canine buddy, though intros are recommended. At the end of the day, he just wants someone to throw the ball and be reliably in his corner. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
