Scooby is a 9-month-old, 38-lb Basenji-small Shepherd mix with the perfect balance of playful energy and affectionate companionship. With a moderate energy level (around a 3 indoors and up to a 7 when it’s time to play), Scooby loves to be active but also knows how to settle in for cuddles and quiet time with his people. This handsome boy is incredibly devoted and forms strong bonds with the people he loves. He’s happiest close to his person, whether that means soaking up belly rubs, nudging you with his nose for attention, or curling up beside you for snuggles. Scooby is affectionate, loyal, and naturally watchful over his family in the sweetest way. With very rare exceptions all dogs over 6 months will be spayed or neutered PRIOR to adoption - dogs under 6 months will include a spay/neuter date AND referral info for lower-cost surgery if the adopter does not choose to use her or his personal vet.
