About Minnie
Minnie is a 1-year-old, small mixed-breed dog who’s the perfect pocket-sized companion for a calm home. She has the pointed ears and sleek tan coat of a tiny German Shepherd and comes with a gentle, soulful expression. Minnie started out as a Sato—rescued from the streets of Puerto Rico alongside her sister—and she’s proven to be resilient and loving. She’s initially shy, especially in new situations or with new people, but given a little patience and space, her sweet and gentle nature emerges. Her confidence grows around other dogs, and she blossoms when there’s a confident canine friend by her side. Minnie is crate trained, leash trained, and house trained, and she’s doing well living in a foster home in Parkville, MD. She’ll need an adopter who will give her time to adjust and continue to build her self-assurance. Minnie’s biggest wish is a peaceful home with another friendly dog to help her settle in.
