Clarice is a loving little survivor with a huge heart and a lot of personality wrapped up in one scruffy, adorable package. After tragically losing her owner, Clarice stayed closely bonded with the two dogs she lived with, especially her one year old puppy, who she still watches over carefully even while clearly wishing he would give her a little personal space sometimes. She is affectionate, loyal, and happiest curled up near her person once she feels safe. Clarice has been through a lot of change over the past few months, so she needs a calm, patient home where she can finally relax and just be someone's baby for a change. Clarice would do best as the only dog in the home. She can be protective around food and would benefit from continued structure, boundaries, and positive reinforcement training. She is mostly housebroken but may have occasional accidents while adjusting to a new environment. Crates are very stressful for her, so she is looking for a home that can work with her anxiety and help her feel secure without confinement.
