Animal Information: Lori is a 9-pound, smooth-coated sweetheart who came into the Stanislaus Shelter after being found wandering the streets by a good Samaritan. Estimated to be around 5 years old, she was never claimed and sadly became at risk in an overcrowded shelter. She is friendly and affectionate with people and great with other dogs. We can't wait to help her start her next chapter in the PNW! Foster Profile: Lori is an incredibly sweet, affectionate little girl who loves being close to her people. Her favorite place in the world is curled up next to you on the couch, often tucked under a blanket, so you may want to double check before sitting down :)! She’s a true cuddle bug who thrives on companionship and affection. She loves meeting new people and has such a gentle, friendly demeanor. When guests come over, Lori patiently waits on the couch with her tail wagging, ready for pets and attention. On walks, she would happily stop to say hello to everyone she passes. She has done well with older children (age 11) and, given her calm and loving personality, would likely do well with younger kids too. While Lori is generally very calm and relaxed around the house, she definitely enjoys her walks and loves getting her energy out in the mornings. Often rolling around in the grass before coming home for cuddle time. Lori is also doing great with crate training. She is calm and quiet in her crate, sleeps there overnight without issue, and is comfortable staying in it while we're out. She also has not had any accidents in her crate. She is working on potty training and has been doing well with frequent outdoor breaks, though she occasionally has accidents in the house as she continues learning. Overall, Lori is a loving, cuddly companion who would make a wonderful addition to a home looking for an affectionate and friendly best friend.
