About Boone
Boone is a frisky, affectionate Bloodhound/Black and Tan Coonhound mix with boundless charm and a goofy, loving spirit. At about four years old, Boone’s intelligence and playfulness shine through, especially when he’s trying to sweet-talk his way into extra attention or treats. He’s quickly learning the ropes of indoor life, rapidly mastering potty training, and soaking up training with lively enthusiasm. Right now, Boone is undergoing heartworm treatment and will need someone able to stick by him through a careful recovery. He will be neutered soon, and the rescue is looking for a foster-to-adopt placement ready to keep him calm during his treatment's injection phase. Only after his recovery will his adoption be finalized to keep his healing stress-free. Boone thrives in a patient, structured home with a fenced yard and would be delighted by a canine companion to wrestle and learn from. He does well with other dogs, though young children should be supervised due to his size and exuberance. He craves ongoing training, steady routines, and a family that can match his playful, affectionate energy. Regular ear care is a must, but otherwise, Boone’s grooming needs are minimal. If you want a cheerful hound companion who wants endless affection and adventure, Boone is ready to make your days a bit brighter. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
