About Casey
Casey is an energetic, friendly Malinois, estimated at 1.5 to 2 years old and weighing 65-70 lbs, who landed in rescue after being picked up as a stray in California. Always ready for a walk or adventure, Casey is happiest with an outlet for his active spirit and sharp mind. He thrives when given plenty of exercise and opportunities to learn, so he's a great match for someone who enjoys the outdoors and wants an attentive companion. Casey is social with people and enjoys meeting new faces, showing curiosity and affection for his handler. Around other dogs, he varies—sometimes getting along fine, other times becoming overstimulated, especially in a kennel environment. Like many working breeds, Casey will benefit from ongoing training and positive social experiences. He’s not yet tested with cats or children, so any introductions there should be done thoughtfully. House training is a work in progress for Casey. His adoption fee is sponsored for the right home. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
