About Rhubarb
Rhubarb is a high-energy Australian Cattle Dog with a history of activity and accomplishment. At a touch under two years old, she’s got the quick mind and stamina her breed is famous for. Her previous homes struggled to keep up with her, especially as she started classic heeling dog behaviors like nipping at people's legs. Even with best intentions and crate-and-rotate routines, she needs more engagement and stimulation than the average dog—true to her sport dog roots. Rhubarb currently thrives in a well-managed pack with dogs and even a few savvy cats. She’s participating in playgroups and continuing obedience classes. She’s titled in Barn Hunt, finished all CGC level tests, and had a taste of tracking, scent work, dock diving, and disc. She’ll do just about anything—hiking, fetch, ball, disc—as long as she can move and use her brain. She already knows sit, down, stand, and recall. Ideal adopters should have prior cattle dog experience and be prepared for a dog who takes the breed’s temperament to the next level. Rhubarb gets along with confident cats but needs boundaries. She is dog selective, so multiple meet-and-greets may be necessary if you have other dogs. She likes kids and is both house-trained and crate-trained. Born June 20th, she's a Cancer—full of loyalty and a need for meaningful bonds. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
