Waddle Doo is a dilute tortoiseshell kitten with a short coat, currently in Ladson, SC. She is a female, medium-sized, house trained, and her vaccinations are up to date. Though she has a non-functional eye due to micropthalmia, she compensates well with her other eye and enjoys a typical kitten lifestyle.

About Waddle Doo

Waddle Doo ended up at a rural shelter with her siblings after being found in a box on the roadside. Due to concerns about her eye, she quickly became a rescue priority. A vet exam revealed that Waddle Doo has micropthalmia in one eye—it’s underdeveloped and doesn’t function, but she manages just fine with her good eye. When she’s old enough, she’ll have surgery to remove any residual tissue so nothing causes trouble later. Otherwise, she’s a true Tortie: independent, adventurous, and always curious, though don’t be fooled—she’s as snuggly as any young kitten and very food-motivated. Waddle Doo gets along well with dogs and children, which will make settling into a new home easier. She isn’t available to leave until after her surgery, so pre-adoption applications are open for now. Expect standard vetting and rehoming requirements. Preferred adopters should be within two hours of the tricounty area. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
