While Mel is very shy, she does like to be in the same room as someone else once she gets comfortable. If you're sitting quietly, she likes to climb onto your legs and lay down. When she is in the mood to accept pets, she immediately begins to purr and make biscuits. Otherwise, she prefers a quiet environment where she can come out of her shell!
