About Holt
Meet Holt, a big, beautiful couch potato with a long, winding story. She was first pulled from a crowded home, adopted out, and loved deeply—then after her first owner passed, she found herself at the shelter again. Another home, more hope, but after about a year, a move to assisted living left Holt alone once more. This gentle senior has been bounced around, but she still manages to open her heart after every loss. Holt is happiest curled up on a soft bed—or ideally, yours. All she wants is to snooze beside her favorite person and soak up those head and ear scratches (she’s picky; back rubs don’t really hit the spot). Despite her laid-back style, Holt’s inner kitten sometimes peeks out—she’ll swat at a wand toy or get that ball spinning. She’s got a passion for food too; expect dramatic meowing when the treats come out. Don’t expect her to socialize with other cats or dogs; peace and quiet suit her. Holt needs a home where she’s the only pet, and she handles her litter box like a pro. After so many twists in her story, she’s overdue for stability and a soft place to land.
