This sweet, gentle boy has spent much of his life living in a garage, but don’t let that fool you — Ebony is more than ready to enjoy the comforts of indoor life and become a spoiled house cat. At 21 pounds, Ebony is currently carrying around a little extra love and will benefit from a healthier lifestyle and some gradual weight loss. Luckily, he’s calm, easygoing, and much more interested in soaking up affection than causing trouble. Ebony absolutely adores attention and will happily rub up against you for pets and companionship whenever he gets the chance. While we don’t know yet how Ebony feels about other animals, we do know he’s incredibly friendly with people and has a mellow personality that makes him easy to love. He’s looking for a cozy home where he can relax, enjoy soft beds and sunny windows, and finally experience life as a cherished indoor companion. At the Humane Society of Midland County, all animals adopted will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations prior to an adoption. Dogs over 6 months of age will be heartworm tested, and any dog with a positive test will receive treatment at No Appointment Needed to Meet Adoptable Animals! We have open adoption hours, and walk-ins are always welcome! While filling out an application lets us know you're interested in adopting, it does not hold an animal, and applications are not required to meet the available animals. We do highly recommend and may require you to bring any dogs that reside in the same household, or that will be around commonly if you are meeting a new dog companion.
