Meet Festus! Festus is an adorable male beagle who is around 7 years old and weighs about 32lbs. Festus is what we refer to as a Kettle Corn pup. You know...he is a sweet yet a little salty, and you just can't resist him. Festus LOVES his people. He warms up quickly and wants to be by their sides whenever possible (see....so sweet!). Festus has lived with other dogs, but it can take him a little time to warm up (see...this is the salty). He will play with other dogs, but he wants his humans all to himself. So we think that Festus would do well as only dog where he could soak up all the love or with another dog who doesn't mind Festus being a bit bossy. Festus is good on a leash. Well until he sees those darn squirrels. You know they have to barked at...every single one. Festus needs to protect his family people from those fluffy tailed creatures! Festus is a digger, so he will need to be monitored when outdoors (or if you are already a hound owner...you know how to proof that yard). Festus would love a home with people who are home often. While he can be left when you go to work, he will let you know his disapproval by using his big beagle voice. This is why we think Festus should NOT live somewhere with shared walls. Festus really is a great beagle boy! He just needs someone who loves and appreciates him as much as he will love and appreciate them. All our dogs live in foster homes, so a meet and greet will have to be scheduled with the foster family. HoundSong Rescue dogs are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. HoundSong Rescue also offers Fi Collars for an additional $100 fee. Fi Collars are GPS collars with many other features we find valuable when owning a hound.
