Rescued from a crowded animal control facility in rural Kentucky, he is now enjoying life in a loving foster home in Chicago. Colby is a mix of Boston Terrier and possibly a Beagle or Hound, with an appealing brindle and white coat, and he’s got that adorable short and stocky build typical of his breeds. At only six months old and weighing in around 30 pounds, Colby is expected to grow to a mature weight of about 40 pounds. His playful, curious, and friendly nature makes him a great companion for an active family ready to give him the love and attention he deserves. Although he is making strides in crate training and housebreaking, Colby still requires guidance and patience as he learns the ropes to become the best dog he can be. Potential adopters should be ready for the extra time and effort needed for a puppy. Frequent potty breaks and lots of play and engagement will help keep him happy and well-adjusted.
