Kid friendly: Not tested Potty trained: Yes, 100%! Crate trained: Yes, 100%! Meet Katie! She is a sweet "pocket-sized" German Shepherd. She gets along great with her canine foster siblings and loves attention from her foster mom and dad. She is very treat/food motivated. She loves to run and play chase with her foster siblings. She is in her crate while her foster parents are at work and may whine a little bit when first put in, but settles down quickly, especially when her foster brother and sister are near by. She sleeps on a dog bed in her foster parent's room at night and seems very content with that. Katie has never had an accident inside or in her crate. She will let her parents know she needs to go out by whining a little bit. Her favorite things to do are to be outside, play with her squeaky toys, eat food, and go on slow walks. Katie walks like an angel on her leash (even better than her foster siblings!). She loves to slowly meander along and get her sniffs in. She would do best in a home with no cats. She has not met a child with her foster parents, but given her loving nature, they don't foresee children being an issue for her. She is working on learning to not jump on people (she's just so excited to meet you!) and to take treats gently (they are just SO YUMMY!). You may have noticed Katie is missing one eye. She had quite a rough patch before finding her way to Healing Hearts Rescue. Despite what she has gone through, she still loves people and wants to be her foster mom's shadow.
