05/13/26. Welcome Jax to DRL! This handsome 7.5-year-old European Doberman found himself in need of a new home after spending his entire life with one family. Sadly, circumstances changed for the family’s son, and he can no longer keep him. Jax is a big boy—just over 100 pounds—with an even bigger heart. He loves all dogs, does great with kids of all ages, and is an incredibly loving companion looking for a family to call his own again. Jax does have some allergies and is currently on a salmon-based diet, along with Apoquel, which he will need to stay on long-term. Even so, he’s a happy, affectionate boy with so much love left to give. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle giant to add to your family, Jax may be the perfect match.Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral).
