🐾 Meet Chopper 🐾 This adorable 2-year-old Beagle/Cocker Spaniel mix weighs about 25 pounds and is officially on the hunt for a forever family of his own! With his floppy ears, soulful eyes, and incredibly sweet personality, Chopper has a way of stealing hearts everywhere he goes. Chopper is an affectionate, snuggly boy who absolutely loves attention. He’ll gently nudge you for pets and happily curl up beside you any chance he gets. Despite being 25 pounds, Chopper is completely convinced he’s a lap dog — and honestly, we’re not about to tell him otherwise. His favorite place to be is right next to his people soaking up love and affection. He’s friendly, playful, and enjoys exploring the world nose-first like any good Beagle mix would. Chopper does well with kids, is crate trained, and has a calm, quiet nature once settled in the home. He can coexist well with other dogs when introduced properly, but he’d also be perfectly happy being the spoiled center of attention in his forever home. After spending much of his life outdoors, Chopper is more than ready for a fresh start filled with cozy beds, belly rubs, adventures, and a family who will love him forever. Most of our dogs are rescued from high-intake shelters in Texas or straight off the streets in South Texas where there are packs of stray dogs running loose. Your fee covers the significant costs of bringing them to safety. Your adoption fee covers: spay/neuter (if old enough), transport fees getting the dogs from Texas to our fosters homes here (that ALONE is $200-$230 per dog), core vaccines, heartworm test (If old enough), deworming, and microchip. We partner with VCA Animal Hospitals. With every adoption comes a complimentary First Exam at any participating VCA location within the first 14 days of adoption. Follow-up Care Coverage: VCA provides limited health guarantee coverage (up to $250) for specific minor illnesses (like kennel cough or ear infections) diagnosed during that initial 14-day window. We do not guarantee the breed of any of our dogs or how big they will be when they are fully grown. The breed listed is typically a guess based off of appearance or personality traits. We cannot guarantee that any dog is not mixed with pit. This is a standard part of adopting a dog from rescue. We are a non-profit rescue. Any access revenue made is used to care for animals with additional medical expenditures that would otherwise result in adoptable dogs having to be left behind and euthanized.
