About Roxanne
Roxanne has a personality as striking as her dilute tortoiseshell coat. She’s a small but confident young adult, chatty and not shy about making her opinions known. True to tortie reputation, Roxanne prefers things on her terms—she values independence and makes her own rules. She’s got a sweet side, but don’t expect her to follow you around all day; she’ll come find you when she wants attention. Roxanne is healthy, FIV/FELV negative, and her teeth are in excellent condition so dental work shouldn’t be in her near future. She’s spayed and current on vaccines including Rabies and FVRCP, plus she’ll come with her full set of medical records. Roxanne does well with other cats if you take the time to introduce her properly. She might be able to adjust to a home with a small, respectful dog, but she’s not a fit for families with children or larger, boisterous dogs. Currently, Roxanne is in foster care in South Brooklyn, waiting for someone to let her rule the roost. Click apply to start the adoption process.

Questions about Roxanne
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Domestic short hair cats like Roxanne can adapt to most living environments, but they do best in calm, secure homes. An apartment or house where she can have her own space would suit her independent nature.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Roxanne, as a domestic short hair, can thrive entirely indoors and doesn’t require outdoor space. A window perch to watch the world is often all she’ll want.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
While many domestic short hairs are fine with children, Roxanne herself prefers an adult home and would not be a fit for families with kids.
