Meet Ethel Meowman! Ethel is a survivor. A senior cat (estimated 14yo) who was abandoned outside in the dead of winter when her family moved, Ethel had to compete with bigger cats for food and when we got her as a foster she was skin and bones and had stopped grooming herself. Multiple vets were skeptical of her odds for survival but Ethel has determinedly declared that her show must go on! With good food, good care and lots of love, she has opened up into a very sweet, affectionate and feisty girl with a lot of life left in her. She will let you know when she wants food or attention with a giant meow worthy of a Broadway stage — which is what earned her her name. Once she is comfortable with you she will take all the petting you can give with her motor going. Her past struggles have left her territorial, she would be best as an only cat who can monopolize your attention. Ethel deserves a loving and caring home with an experienced adopter who can help her shine on through her golden years. Medical: She has hyperthyroidism which requires half a pill twice daily but she eagerly eats the pill pocket that we put it in, no trouble at all. She is on a prescription renal diet for early stage kidney disease. She loves the kibble, she mostly eats the wet food (she eats more of it if we mix a little regular food in with it).
