Meet Deuce Deuce is a 1-year-old Boxer/Bulldog mix who was surrendered because he frequently escaped from the home. His previous owner shared that he is not comfortable with unfamiliar people or dogs and mentioned that he is capable of jumping over a 4-foot wall, so he will need a secure yard and careful supervision. Although his previous owner noted concerns about possible dog aggression, Deuce has lived with other dogs before. At this time, we recommend a single-dog home or very careful introductions with any potential canine companions. Since arriving at the shelter, staff have observed Deuce to be a friendly boy who is nervous in the shelter environment. He is easy to interact with once comfortable and enjoys being around people he trusts. He does tend to pull on leash, so continued training and structure will help him succeed. Deuce would do best with an experienced adopter who understands the importance of management, socialization, and providing clear boundaries. With patience, consistency, and a secure environment, he has the potential to become a devoted and loving companion
