Meet Peace, a 6-year-old, 5-pound Chihuahua who loves gourmet flavors, playtime and being carried like a princess. She is affectionately called Peace Lily by her foster family. Her superpowers are her tiny size with an outsized personality, and her ability to moonlight as a circus act. Peace can jump over twice her height and fly through the air with the greatest of ease. She will stand and walk on her two hind legs when treats are offered too. She spends most of her time curled into a little doggie doughnut, sleeping on the highest perch she can find (and she prefers a soft blanket or pillow for her naps.) When she's rested enough, she'll initiate play with her little dog friend, with a lucky human, or on her own with a tiny stuffed toy. Bonus if it squeaks. Peace gets along well with other dogs, but she prefers the company of smaller dogs for play time. As far as house training, it seems that it wasn't taught to her at all in her past years, but as she is so clever and wants to please so much, she will very likely learn what's OK if she's given a chance to adapt to a schedule. Lots of positive reinforcement and baby steps along the way but because she loves treats and yummy scents so much she will probably catch on quickly to expectations. In fact, some of Peace's favorite things are the many new flavors she's experiencing (salami, cheese, chicken and doggie jerky), chasing and chewing tiny stuffed toys, and her favorite people. She's scared at first but she quickly gets bold and shows her loving and sassy personality. She's a master of the side eye! Lesson learned: Miss Peace doesn't like the rain or wearing a rain coat!
