About Crabby

Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Crabby is a resilient small mixed breed terrier and chihuahua who was rescued from a challenging start at a shelter in North Carolina. Despite having a spinal deformity—possibly caused by being confined to a space that was much too small—he doesn’t let it slow him down. Crabby runs, plays, and thoroughly enjoys wandering the yard. He’s housebroken, social with other dogs, and eager to please everyone he meets. He absolutely loves food and treats, though he prefers not to share them after having been extremely thin when first rescued. Crabby quickly bonds with people and enjoys being part of the action. His brave spirit and good nature shine through in everything he does, and he deserves a loving home where he will always feel safe and cared for. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!

Questions about Crabby

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

Terrier/chihuahua mixes are generally adaptable and do well in both apartments and houses. They appreciate having some space to explore but are happiest when they can regularly interact with their people.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

A small, securely fenced yard is beneficial for a terrier/chihuahua mix, but daily walks or playtime can also meet their needs if living in an apartment. They enjoy outdoor activities but don't require a lot of space.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

Terrier/chihuahua mixes can be great with gentle, respectful children. Supervision is recommended with younger kids due to the dog's small size and potential fragility.
