About Toast
Toast has been through more than most dogs his age. His young life has included medical ups and downs, from treating tapeworms to staying on top of his vaccines and weathering small injuries around other dogs. He’s had some rough moments in tough play yard environments, which have put him at risk in the shelter system. But spend any time with Toast and you’ll see a dog who’s not dangerous or mean—he’s overwhelmed by the constant commotion, struggling to cope with noisy kennels and unpredictable introductions. What consistently stands out is how Toast reacts like so many dogs would under this pressure. His stress comes from chaotic circumstances, not who he is at his core. Outside the constant shuffle, Toast could have the chance to decompress and show his true self. He’s looking for someone willing to give him structure and patience, and in return he’ll bring loyalty and heart. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
