About Maxey
Maxey is a sturdy, 3-year-old mixed hound who brings a lot of heart to the table. At 80 to 90 pounds, he's a big guy—physically strong, but even more impressive in his loyalty. He’s house trained, crate trained, and potty trained, already neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. His command skills are solid, he genuinely enjoys working for treats, and he likes to stay close to his people. If you’re settled on the couch, he’ll want to be right there with you. Ball games and cuddle sessions are Maxey’s favorite ways to be part of your everyday life. He’s outgoing with men and women alike and is generally good with strangers. Maxey does especially well with children and has a fantastic bond with his current canine brother, but outside of this, he isn’t a match for other pets. He should be the only dog—or pet—in his new home to keep things simple and focused. Maxey’s perfect fit is an experienced dog owner who understands life with a large, medium-energy dog who wants involvement and structure. A fenced yard would let him play safely. He’s never had separation anxiety or health concerns, and he’s fine being left home uncrated. For anyone wanting a friendly, affectionate, and playful dog devoted to his family, Maxey could be the one. Start your journey together! Apply now.
