About Rupert
Rupert is a 7-year-old Husky weighing 77 pounds, combining fluff, muscle, and heart. He came to our shelter as a lost pet in March 2025. Unfortunately, Rupert has been adopted and returned twice, and more than 15 Husky-specific rescue groups turned him down, but he is safe here and can stay as long as he needs. This blue-eyed heartthrob is loved by staff and volunteers alike. Rupert is playful and walks nicely on a leash, though he also tends to give a judgey look from the corner of your office, critiquing the day's choices like your hairstyle. He's not a socialized pack animal, preferring to be the only dog in your life. While his sparkling eyes and fluffy coat might tempt you to snuggle, Rupert appreciates personal space and requires an adult-only home. He thrives on training sessions, where his intelligence really shines, and he loves being a companion on coffee runs, especially if a pup cup is involved! Rupert is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, negative for heartworm, and on preventative treatments. This charming guy is eager to find a home where he can succeed and thrive. Ready to meet him? Call or visit our Lahaska shelter today!
