He’s adjusting beautifully in foster care and showing just how loving and loyal he can be. Huxley is dog friendly and enjoys being around other pups, especially hanging out with his foster fur siblings. He has small bursts of playfulness but is still settling in, so we think his playful side may continue to come out as he gets more comfortable. Right now, toys aren’t really his thing. He is potty trained, though he may mark when left alone, and he is also crate trained. His crate has become his safe space, and he settles in comfortably there to sleep at night. Huxley is kid friendly and does well with children of all ages. He has a pretty low-key, easygoing personality and is happy to go with the flow of the household. He can be a little stubborn at times, but it doesn’t take much to change his mind. His favorite things are treats, walks, spending time with his people, and simply being near his furry and human companions. Huxley is looking for a patient and loving family who understands that he has been through a big life change. After losing the family and life he once knew, he is slowly building trust and confidence again. He has already come such a long way and continues to thrive with patience, structure, and love. While he enjoys being around other dogs, Huxley doesn’t necessarily need another pup in the home to be happy. More than anything, he just wants to be part of a family again.
