Meet Goose! He is 60 lbs and 19 months old. Goose came to us as an owner surrender after his previous family moved out of the home they shared with his owner's parents, leaving him behind. Unable to keep him, the parents reached out to a small rescue for help. That rescue contacted BCAA, and we were happy to step in and give Goose the fresh start he deserves. This super handsome boy has a stunning chocolate-colored coat and an even more beautiful personality to match. Goose has done great with every dog he's met so far. He's a high-energy pup who loves to play, so he would do best with another dog who can keep up with his enthusiastic spirit. While he has shown curiosity about cats, he would likely be happiest in a home without them. Goose has excellent crate manners—he sleeps quietly through the night with no accidents, barking, or mischief. He's also a smart cookie who loves treats and will happily show off his impressive list of commands, including sit, paw, stay, down, come, and “go to bed.” On leash, Goose is doing well but would benefit from some continued training, especially when something exciting catches his eye. He's also working on keeping all four paws on the ground when greeting people—his affectionate “Goose hugs” are adorable to those who know him, but may be a bit much for some small kids Goose is not a couch potato—he's an active, fun-loving dog who thrives on adventure, playtime, and companionship. Whether it's a long walk, a game of fetch, or exploring the outdoors, Goose is ready to be your loyal sidekick. With his big heart and bright energy, Goose is sure to make an incredible companion for the right person or family.
