About Sundae

Sundae is an 8-year-old, large, mixed-breed Pointer/American Staffordshire Terrier who’s spent her whole life as a cherished family dog. She’s gentle and easygoing at home—house trained, never chews on belongings, and enjoys treats or a good bone more than toys. Affectionate at her core, Sundae truly loves being around people, but she needs her boundaries respected. She doesn’t do well if someone tries to mess with her ears or tail, so older children or adults who understand dog signals are a must—no tiny kids in the home. Sundae is polite with strangers and has lived with cats, puppies, and small dogs without issues, but she’d much rather be the center of attention as the only pet. Her leash skills are solid, though the occasional squirrel or dog might get her excited. Her dream home is calm and steady—maybe an adult individual or couple, or a family with respectful, dog-savvy kids. She just wants a stable place to relax and enough love to last. Sundae is still living with her current family in Willingboro, NJ, and will wait for the right adopter who truly “gets” her. Let’s make it official, apply to adopt!

Questions about Sundae

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

Sundae, as a Pointer/American Staffordshire Terrier mix, tends to thrive in a calm and predictable home environment with experienced dog owners or adults who understand clear boundaries. A home with a yard or outdoor access is ideal but stability and routine matter most.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

A Pointer/American Staffordshire Terrier mix like Sundae benefits from moderate outdoor space such as a fenced yard, but she's also content with daily walks and some playtime. She doesn’t need vast acreage, just regular opportunities to get outside.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

Sundae can live happily with older, dog-savvy children who know how to respect a dog’s boundaries. Her breeds generally do well with kids that are calm and considerate, but homes with babies or toddlers are not a good match.
