Written 5/7/2026 Meet Victor! Victor aka Nelson is such a sweet dog! He is 11 weeks old and breed mix is unknown, he was found with his littermates as a stray. He's a little adventure pup and does great in new places with new sounds and people. This curious little guy is excited about everything and everyone he meets. He loves being right by your side, happily following you around as your tiny shadow and soaking up all the attention he can get. He always needs to know where everyone is and gets so excited to see his fosters when they come home! He's coming along great with potty and crate training, and his fosters have been working on basic commands including leave it, come, sit and down! He is food-motivated and picks things up quickly. He gets along great with kids and other dogs, making him a wonderful addition to an active, loving home. Victor’s personality is the perfect mix of playful energy and cuddle time. One minute he’s exploring the world, the next he’s curled up next to you, recharging for his next adventure. His adoption fee is $375 and covers the cost of age-appropriate core vaccinations, microchip, and required neuter when age-appropriate. We require that all adopters, regardless of the dog’s age, are committed to ongoing training and socialization as part of responsible ownership. We require adopters to be within a reasonable distance of Richmond or Virginia Beach in order to complete spay/neuter with our approved clinics. Beagles and Bentleys has an across-the-board evaluative process that we apply to every application we review that prioritizes our animals in need. We conduct a vet reference check (all resident dogs must be altered/up to date on dhpp/rabies and monthly preventatives, and cats must be altered and up to date on rabies) and a virtual home visit call where we discuss the adoption process and see your home.
