About Dough
Dough gets her name from her softness and sweet nature. When she arrived at animal control, while other dogs clamored for attention, Dough just sat quietly, almost resigned to being overlooked. Her calm presence stood out immediately, and it was clear that she deserved a second chance. Dough came to rescue in rough shape, with signs of neglect that included untreated yeast infections, mammary tumors, overgrown nails, and bad teeth. Now, her infections have cleared, her skin is healthy, and her teeth look great. She is wonderful in the car, relaxed on walks, and excellent on a leash. Nights are quiet—she sleeps soundly and is both house and crate trained. Dough tolerates other dogs easily and could live as a solo pet or with canine siblings. With cats, though, her interest is a bit too strong, so a home without cats is best. Dough’s greatest joy is curling up on fluffy blankets or pillows. She moves through life with gratitude for the little comforts she didn’t always have. Walks, grassy spots, and gentle attention make her happiest. If you want a loyal, gentle sidekick who won’t demand much, Dough fits the bill. She’s content to join you quietly and appreciates stability. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
