About Boch

Meet Boch! (A Professional Lap Dog!) Boch is a deeply affectionate, funny, and very opinionated little dog who has fully embraced the art of comfort. His personality has made his preferences in life very clear: warmth, cuddles, snacks, soft blankets, and as much human companionship as possible. He is not an outdoorsy adventure dog. He is a cozy companion dog through and through. Boch's favorite things include: Sleeping under blankets in bed with his people Curling up in warm laps Sunbathing by a window or on a patio Car rides Being carried like royalty Looking at himself in mirrors Chewing bully sticks Sleeping in late Following humans everywhere they go Collecting affection from absolutely anyone willing to provide it Dressing up, wearing cozy sweaters and coats Boch absolutely adores people. While he is not necessarily the type to excitedly greet every stranger, he fully assumes every human exists as a potential lap. We recently took him to a dog park, he ignored the dogs entirely, wandered over to a complete stranger, and climbed directly into their lap. That pretty much sums him up. His personality is equal parts sweet, stubborn, and funny: Very affectionate and people-oriented Wiggly and expressive Loves kisses and close contact Will paw at you when he wants something May attempt to stick his tongue directly up your nose if you let your guard down Food motivated and surprisingly quick when properly inspired Calm and generally quiet in public spaces Will alert bark when someone approaches the house or comes to the door, then settles immediately once guests are inside Gets one very enthusiastic daily zoomie session that lasts approximately 10 seconds Has absolutely no interest in pretending to enjoy hikes or walking up hill Gets along very well with cats Gets cold easily but is perfectly happy wearing sweaters and coats Boch definitely has his own agenda. The nice thing is that he is not too dramatic about it. He does not bark or throw tantrums when unhappy, he simply stages peaceful protests by locking his legs and refusing to move if he feels an activity is beneath him. Cold weather, uphill walks, early mornings, and excessive exercise all fall into this category according to Boch. Long hikes are not his thing unless someone plans to carry him in a bag for most or all of it. While Boch coexists peacefully with other dogs, he is much more interested in humans than canine companionship and would likely thrive as the only dog in the home where he can soak up all the attention for himself. He also has very low exercise needs. He is happiest living a cozy, relaxed lifestyle filled with couch time, cuddles, snacks, short outings, and companionship. One of Boch's best qualities is how calm and well behaved he is in public. We have taken him to busy downtown areas, breweries, crowded spaces, and around barking dogs, and he remains quiet, relaxed, and content as long as he can stay close to his person. He would make an excellent: Brewery dog Coffee shop companion Farmers market sidekick Passenger prince on errands and car rides Boch's ideal home would include: A less active household Warm climate or cozy indoor-focused lifestyle Minimal steep hills Lots of couch time and companionship A sunny window or patio for lounging Someone home often or wanting a constant companion A human who finds stubborn little personalities charming Bonus points if you enjoy buying dog sweaters If you are looking for a funny, affectionate little shadow whose biggest priorities are warmth, snacks, cuddles, and being included in absolutely everything, Boch may be your perfect match.
