Meet Bacon aka Betty! This 3 year old, 25lb little ween (Chiweenie/Labweenie-ish) is looking for her forever family! She was found on the streets in Houston and is now in the Big Apple ready for whatever the future holds.... She would be a great only dog or in a multi dog home. Her foster mom says: "Meet Betty: 25 pounds of lap dog, silent food detective, and dog park social butterfly. She's calm at home, fearless with friends, and will absolutely appear out of nowhere the second she hears a wrapper crinkle. The perfect low-drama, high-cuddle companion. She's a dream to leave home — no barking, no crying, just heads to her bed for a nap until you're back. She's fully potty trained and knows "sit"! The second you meet Betty, you'll notice her tail is wagging! She’s a gentle, sweet girl who leads with her heart even if she's not always certain about what's coming next. It took just a couple of hours after coming home for her to settle in. She aced her first bath, figured out the couch immediately, and has a very clear opinion that the best place to nap is on your chest. She loves to be pet and will politely tap you with her paw to remind you not to stop — belly rubs and neck scratches are her love language. When you're busy, she's completely content to put herself to bed on the floor, the couch, or in the other room. But the moment she hears a cabinet, the fridge, or the crinkling of wrapper, she will materialize behind you with the most devastating puppy dog eyes you've ever seen. She was a huge fan of the dog park, spending over an hour running with the pack, greeting every human and dog on a busy day. She has no aggression towards anyone - human or animal. She's more at ease inside a busy bookstore than sitting near a loud outdoor market — still learning, still growing, but getting braver every day. Once she learns her recall, Central Park is going to be her paradise. Betty will make someone an incredible companion. She would love a calm, patient home to keep showing her that the world is a safe and wonderful place — and she'll give you everything she's got in return." INTERESTED IN ADOPTING?
