Meet Hazel Hazel is a 4-year-old Pit/Beagle mix with a sweet soul, gentle personality, and a love for the quiet life. This low-energy girl is happiest lounging around the house, relaxing in the yard, and spending time with the people she loves most. Hazel is incredibly lovable and affectionate with her trusted humans and forms very strong bonds with her family. Once she loves you, she really loves you. She tends to warm up to women the quickest, while men can make her a little nervous at first. However, with patience and a calm approach, she warms up once she realizes they’re safe. Underneath her cautious side is a very loving dog who just wants to feel secure and cherished. Hazel does wonderfully with dogs of all sizes, cats, and kids of all ages, making her a great fit for many different homes. She is both potty trained and crate trained, and her crate is very important to her — it’s her safe, cozy space where she feels most comfortable. Hazel does best being fed in her crate and prefers to enjoy meals separately from other pets. Hazel does pull on leash, so she would likely thrive most in a home with a fenced yard where she can comfortably stretch her legs and enjoy the outdoors without needing long walks as her primary exercise.
