Worthy Cheyenne is a 1-year-old chocolate Lab mix with soft amber eyes, little white socks, and the kind of face that looks like she accidentally overheard some gossip and is trying not to react. This girl is sweet in that deeply genuine, sneaks-up-on-you kind of way. She may take a couple minutes to scope things out when meeting someone new, but then suddenly she’s leaning against your legs like y’all have been paying taxes together for years. The warm-up period is brief. The loyalty? Immediate. And honestly? Worthy feels less like a young dog and more like somebody’s sweet little retired aunt who discovered the joys of backyard zoomies and decided to dabble recreationally. Inside the house, she is an absolute dream. Fully potty trained, kennel trained, settles beautifully, and fully understands the art of being indoors without acting like a tiny demolition crew. Most of the time she’s either: - curled up on the couch - relaxing in her crate - quietly following you around - or laying there watching the room like she’s supervising construction on a Home Depot parking lot. She’s playful without being overwhelming, affectionate without being clingy, and calm without being boring. It’s honestly a ridiculously easy combination to fall in love with. And dogs? She LOVES dogs. Big dogs, little dogs, goofy dogs, dramatic dogs, dogs built like refrigerators for some reason — she gets along with everybody. She’s submissive, easygoing, social, and genuinely thrives with canine companionship. She would absolutely love another dog in the home to cuddle, play, and exist alongside. She’s also cat-safe, walks beautifully on leash, responds incredibly well to gentle correction, and adjusts quickly to new environments once she realizes nobody’s trying to make things weird. Worthy was originally adopted from a shelter in a Texas border town before making her way into rescue, and despite whatever life looked like before this, she somehow came out the other side still choosing softness. There’s just something incredibly comforting about her. The kind of dog who makes a house feel quieter in the best possible way.
