Meet Big Boy, the big boy of a black cat. Big Boy came to the Shelter after his previous guardians were unable to continue caring for him. He lived with two other cats and did well. With strangers, Big Boy was fearful and would hid under the bed. He did well with the 9 year old child in the home. Big Boy was indoors only in his previous home and used his litterbox reliably. Big Boy's adoption fee is reduced by $20 thanks to the Bogey Fund - a fund that draws adopter's eyes towards often overlooked black cats in the Shelter waiting for the purrfect home. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
