Meet Marshmallow, the 1 year old Siamese mix! This sweet boy has been warming up to the shelter staff quickly and has been enjoying playtime and cuddles. He is a little bit shy at first, but soon he is head butting, rolling over, and soliciting pets from everyone. Because marshmallow was a stray, we are not sure if he has lived with cats, dogs, or children in a previous home, so potential adopters should keep in mind that a slow and thoughtful introduction would be necessary with any resident animals. If you are looking for a kitty as sweet as an ooey-gooey marshmallow, this might be your guy! Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them
