About Canela
Canela is a 6-year-old German Shepherd with a big heart and plenty of energy to match. After spending too many hours alone outside, she decided to go on adventures in the neighborhood just to find new friends. Thankfully, a watchful neighbor kept her safe and now she’s looking for a new family that can spend more time with her. People are her favorite—she can’t get enough attention and loves to cuddle. Canela is sharp, food-motivated, and eager to learn, especially if treats are involved. Just two days in a new foster home and she picked up new manners, proving her smarts. She enjoys being around children and can get along with other dogs as long as new introductions are handled slowly and thoughtfully. A cat-free home is a must, since she isn’t cat-friendly. A fenced yard gives her the space to run and burn off energy between walks. She’ll do best with a family that has large-breed experience and can commit to her training. Car rides and squeaky stuffed animals are also high on her list of favorite things. Even when left alone, Canela has stayed calm and left things unchewed. Pisces pups like Canela are known for their social and loving personalities. Give her the home time she deserves. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
